At Chic Bahamas Weddings we specialise in elegant island weddings for up to 100 guests and offer exotic locations that cater to every need of both the wedding couple and their cherished guests.
Who is Marva Munroe?
Marva Munroe is an experienced wedding planner and designer. She founded and directs Chic Bahamas Weddings.
Do I need a marriage license to get married in the Bahamas?
Yes, you will need a wedding license that you need to obtain at the island where you’re being married. Please note you need to arrive in Nassau, Grand Bahama or the Out Islands at least 24 hours before applying for your marriage license. The office is not open at the weekend.
Can Chic Bahamas Weddings help me obtain a wedding license?
Yes, we’ll be happy to help you apply for and collect your wedding license.
Will a Bahamas marriage be valid in my country?
Yes, your wedding in the Bahamas is 100% legal and accepted in all countries around the world.
Is a blood test required to apply for a wedding license?
No, a blood test is not required.
How much does a wedding license cost?
The cost is $220.00 and this will be included in your overall Chic Bahamas Wedding fee. This covers your marriage license, two affidavits of singlehood and one certified copy of your marriage certificate.

Who will perform the ceremony?
Ordained minister, Justice of the Peace, Rabbi, Imaam are all available to perform your marriage ceremony.
Where can I hire a tuxedo?
There are several tuxedo rental shops in the Bahamas. We’re delighted to make recommendations.
Can we have a rehearsal?
If you’d like to rehearse the wedding, that’s no problem—just let us know.
Where can we stay?
You may stay at any hotel/resort of your choice.
