Romance in Getting Married on the Beach

What is more romantic and enchanting than getting married on the beach, as the sun sets against the ocean tides, with the people you love the most surrounding you? Probably nothing else! That’s why we make it possible for anyone to consider an Exuma or Nassau wedding, right here in the gorgeous nation of the Bahamas.

Of course, there are some things to prepare for if you’re going to take a ceremony outside. In particular, the beach is one outdoor location for which to prepare. Moreover, we want you to experience the best day of your life. Which is why we’re imparting our top 5 tips for getting married on the beach in your Bahamas wedding:

1. Lighter Fabric Dresses:

Big, ornate ball gowns will make it hard for you to walk down the aisle and say “I do” in comfort. That’s why lighter fabrics that are breathable will accompany your Exuma island wedding ceremony much more appropriately. Therefore, the less “heavy” your bridal presentation, the easier it will be for you to enjoy your special day in the sand.

2. Beach Breezes Can Make Veils Tricky:

If you’re opting for a Bahamas wedding, chances are, you’re looking for something out of the ordinary. You don’t want the same boring wedding venue back home; you want something exotic. However, since beaches are typically breezy, which can make them a truly nice and enjoyable place to get married, we recommend skipping the veil. It will get tangled in your hang/ensemble and make the day that much more stressful. Have fun with a tiara or something more static instead!

3. Get Married While the Sun is Still Up:

Although a sun-set is a perfect backdrop to any kind of wedding reception, plan the ceremony while the sun is still up. Why? When the sun sets, you “lose the ocean” in your photos. In addition, getting married around the 4-5 PM mark is exactly what you will want to aim for.

4. Invest in a Sound System:

One of the most glorious elements of getting married on the beach is the sound of the ocean. But, the ocean can be loud, which is why you’ll want to invest in a professional sound system that can overpower the waves for your dance party after the ceremony.

5. Give Guests Plenty of Notice:

If you want those you love the most to fly to the Bahamas for your wedding, give them plenty of notice so they can ask for time off from work. If you can, try to warn them at least 6-months in advance. Furthermore, they’ll be more likely to get the “yes” from their boss so they can come roll around in the sand with you and your fiancé!
