Super Fun Bahama Beach Wedding

Imagine cruising to the Bahamas with 65 cherished family members and friends. Then, tying the knot at a super fun Bahama beach wedding with beautiful jewel toned waters as a backdrop

Molly, a community college outreach advisor, and Grant, an investment executive of Effingham, Illinois, did exactly this.  With family and friends who love cruising, the couple decided to get hitched in the Bahamas at the Grand Lucayan Golf and Beach Resort, Freeport, Grand Bahama Island.  The couple exchanged vows November 13, 2015 at the hotel’s waterfront gazebo.  Thereafter, guests were hosted at a cocktail reception complete with butler passed hors d’oeuvres, beverages while being serenaded by Tru Melody Steel Pan Duo at the hotel’s Water Fountain.

Arriving via cruise ship, the bridal party all headed over to the Grand Lucayan for a quick rehearsal before moving to a suite to get dressed.  Molly had her hair-styling and make-up done on ship leaving slipping into her wedding dress for the hotel.

To streamline to dos on wedding day, Molly and Grant visited the island and stayed at Grand Lucayan overnight.  The two met with their Bahamas wedding planner, Marva Munroe, to discuss their wedding and review venues before heading over to the Registrar’s Office to apply for their marriage licence.  Thereafter, with everything all set for their big day, it was back to the pier to have a late lunch and later board their ship for the journey back to the US.

After the couple were married in a fun Bahama beach ceremony on a sunny afternoon in the Bahamas, Miller Photography captured photos of the lovely couple, family and Grant and Molly.

Molly says: “Marva was so great to work with! She put together such a perfect day for us. We could not have asked for anything better!”
