A Chic Fall Nassau Island House Garden Wedding

Couple: Lareina & Andrew
Lareina and Andrew’s chic Nassau garden wedding was an elegant affair! The couple’s family and friends joined this New York couple for an amazing three-day celebration weekend.
Weather, Scenery, Warmth of the People – The Draw
“The reason why we decided to choose the Bahamas was because of the beautiful weather and scenery as well as the warmth of the people there,” Lareina writes about her Bahamas destination wedding. “Andrew had visited a few times prior and had thoroughly enjoyed each visit. He wanted to share his experience with our friends and family. From the beaches to the people and the food, everything was simply spectacular!”
Couple’s Needs Met
Lareina and Andrew wanted an intimate, secluded wedding venue in the Bahamas. During phone calls I made suggestions for possible venues. With this goal of selecting a venue, the couple visited Nassau for a pre-wedding site visit. We visited my suggested venue boutique hotel, The Island House, West Nassau. It was love at first sight!
Throughout the planning process, there were various needs for decor, lighting, music, chair, table, and linen rentals. I helped the bride and groom with all of these needs and more. Our in-house floral design team got to work on creating floral designs and recipes based on the couple’s vision and style. This was a major and a big help for the couple.
Grand Hyatt Baha Mar – Host Hotel
Guests were feted at an outdoor Welcome Event at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar on the day prior to this Bahamas wedding. The Hyatt was also the host hotel for the bride, groom, and guests.

Lareina and her bridal tribe had a fun time as they were pampered with beauty services on location at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. LucyLu Brides and her team got the bride and her maids all glammed up.
Nassau Garden Wedding at The Island House

The couple wanted a private, secluded outdoor Nassau garden wedding venue. So, they chose a Nassau luxury boutique hotel, The Island House as their wedding venue.
A late afternoon ceremony took place on The Island House Lawn before 120 family and friends. Strings n Tings Classical Trio provided ceremony music.
The Reception
Thereafter, guests moved to tunes by a guitarist greeted guests as they arrived at the Cocktail Hour on the Terrace followed. Afterward, guests sat for dinner. At the completion of dinner, guests danced under the stars.

Finishing the evening with an After Party at Grand Hyatt, the bride, groom, and guests danced well into the early morning.
