A Grand 50th Birthday Celebration in the Bahamas
Harbour Island in Eleuthera might be a popular destination wedding location but the beautiful pink sands, crystal clear waters, and sun beating down day after day also make for the perfect backdrop for special holiday celebrations. In fact, the picturesque Harbour Island became the chosen destination for Dr. Babineaux and Pastor Brooks’ incredible 50th birthday celebrations.
A Weekend Of Love, Memories, and Cherished Moments
The January birthday celebration extravaganza began when guests began to make their grand entrance into North Eleuthera from all over the world. In a bid to create a party atmosphere from the get-go, every individual was welcomed with a surprise gift bag and beautifully arranged flowers in their rooms. Every detail was accounted for and the meticulous planning was evident from the start. Not just that but guests were also welcomed with cold towels and refreshing drinks upon arrival. As they disembarked from private water taxi to Ramora Bay Deck, noted solo musician, Rocky, played soft tunes to perfectly set the mood for the first evening.
The first night was hosted at Rock House, where a Welcome Pajama Dinner was in full force. Laid-back music filtered through the restaurant, and a sea of candles and atmospheric overhead lighting set the stage. The highlight of the evening, however, has to be the incredible food and drink on offer— from conch fritters to a dedicated ‘Choco-tini Bar’ where bartenders churned out delicious chocolate-based martinis all evening. The hospitality was unmatched and every guest was made to feel one-of-a-kind and their comfort and enjoyment was top priority.
Perfectly Posh and her support team 3GEvent Decor and Rentals, Eternal Bouquets by JM, and balloon artists Sharp Designs and more by Vanessa and YOLEE created stunning decor for this events and the others over this celebration weekend.
Just as the day was wrapping up, guests were treated to a spectacular Bahamas-fx fireworks display over the bay, before heading back to their villas to get ready for the evening’s activities.

Guests were wined and dined at a Welcome Pajama Party at the picturesque and island-elegant Rock House. Expressions Entertainment provided entertainment for this event and others over the weekend.

The next day began with a delicious breakfast, after which guests were directed to the breathtaking Pink Sand Beach. Here, they enjoyed live music, hair braiding, watersports, and even a woodcraft artisan ensuring there was something for every guest. Private sun beds and shaded spots were also available for those who wanted to sit back and relax. Expert-led snorkeling trips and a once in a lifetime turtle feeding excursion were key highlights of the day, and indeed the entire trip.
Back at Coral Sands Beach, a bonfire created the perfect cozy backdrop. An array of delicacies were served while a fire dancer kept guests entertained with performances.
A 50th Birthday Party In Bahamas To Remember
The big birthday morning started with breakfast at the luxurious setting of La Palmeraie and Coral Sands before guests had time to get ready for the main event. Dr Daria then made a grand entrance, with gold sparkles, as the poolside cocktail hour kicked off. A sophisticated performance from the Methodist Church Kids Choir ensured the atmosphere was to remember and a caricature artist worked the room, creating mementoes that guests could take home and enjoy. Even better, a delightful spread of appetizers kept guests happy.
As night began to fall, the guests were ushered to the Beach Bar which had been set up for an elegant plated dinner. On the menu, grouper ceviche and braised wagyu short ribs ensured the meal was a culinary delight. But that was far from it. The highlight was the birthday cake— one for each celebrant including a Bahamas Rum bake for the locale and a Tuxedo Cake for Pastor Corey.
Stomachs full, the evening was far from over. There was dancing and music to be had yet, provided by the One, Two, Three + Band. A traditional Bahamian parade, called a Junkanoo Rush Out which is popular for its bright and colorful costumes, uplifting and vibrant music, and spirited dance then took to the stage. Once done, it was time for guests to head back to their private villas and get some rest before the last morning.
A Champagne Brunch And Farewell
What better way to conclude the incredible 50th birthday party than with a Champagne brunch. Guests were treated to everything from eggs benedict and a private mimosa bar ensured that thirsts were quenched. This final morning provided guests with a chance to take in as much of the views and luxury surroundings as they could, while spending time with loved ones and friends. It was a bittersweet moment though as guests prepared for their departure. But one thing they were leaving Harbour Island with was unforgettable memories, laughter, love, and caricature drawings of one and other!
