Last Minute Exquisite Rooftop Bahamas Wedding Nassau

Couple: Maggy & Ruy
A Bahamas Wedding Nassau was definitely in the cards for Maggy, a CPA, and Ruy, a sales executive, from Miramar, Florida. A year ago, the two were engaged at the Beach Club Cafe, Sandyport, Nassau. Ruy traveled for work there at least three times a year. It was only natural for the couple to return to the island to tie the knot.
But, three days before the wedding date, the original wedding venue closed its doors. The groom had proposed to the bride at this restaurant venue. The venue was meaningful. Our lead planner, Marva, shared the restaurant closure with the couple. She assured them that all would be well. We did a site visit of two Bahamas wedding venues that she proposed. Old Fort Bay Club was one of these venues. Maggy and Ruy fell in love with Old Fort Bay Club. Old Fort Bay’s event manager was incredible. We teamed up and recreated the couple’s venues and food and beverage. What’s more, we successfully averted a potential disaster!
The couple enjoy everything about island life and wanted to share this with their 44 family and friends over a four-day weekend celebration. They did exactly this when they traveled to Nassau for a Bahamas Destination Wedding weekend.

“We are both of Cuban decent, so food, drinks, and music were extremely important to us,” said Maggy. “It was the most important thing when planning our wedding and it is what all of our guests were looking forward to. They were so pleased with all of it and are still talking about it today!”
Bahamas Wedding Ceremony
The couple tied the knot under in a beautiful wedding ceremony on the exclusive Rooftop Terrace, Old Fort Bay Club. Sweeping views of the ocean and a shaded huge ancient Silk Cotton Trees on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Perfect!

Following the ceremony, guests moved to the Pavillion Room. There they enjoyed cocktails and butler passed hors d’oeuvres of Bahamian Conch Fritters and Tomato Bruschetta. This was followed by a full-service dinner. A starter of Bibb lettuce, oven-dried tomatoes, bacon bits, and avocado dressing was delicious. Main course items featured Proscuitto and Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast, Roasted potatoes, Asparagus, baby carrots, or Spicy Lobster Stir- Fry Jasmine Rice. The red velvet wedding cake was served as dessert.

DJ Ampero rocked the party with music, including lots of salsa, that went past midnight.
The couple kept the weekend up close and personal by renting private houses right on the beach for family and friends. Everyone enjoyed a rehearsal sunset cruise the evening prior to the wedding.
