Oceanside Backyard BBQ Kicks Off Multi-Day Wedding

Multi-Day Wedding Rehearsal Dinner

The festivities began with a welcome barbecue at the groom’s parents’ residence at The Dunmore. Here, guests mingled, sipped on cocktails and feasted on a BBQ under palm trees that were adorned with festoon lighting. The atmosphere was electric, and the anticipation was building, while our team at Chic Bahamas were on hand to ensure every single element unfolded just as it was planned. We had collaborated closely with the couple to ensure the vibe of their celebrations reflected their fun-loving personalities, with the welcome party embracing an orange colour scheme. Round tables were styled with vibrant tablecloths, bamboo chairs, rattan chargers and flower-filled ‘tropical oasis’ centerpieces. A stylish bar area served signature cocktails (passionfruit sangria and ginger margarita, if you’re wondering). Their beach bonfire followed suit, with pink and orange cushions scattered on the sand, so that guests could unwind and relax to the soft sound of waves against the contrast of a crackling fire.

The following evening, guests were feted at a charming rehearsal dinner at The Rock House. Courtyard Harbour Island-style cocktails and butler-passed hors d’oeuvres were served to guests while enjoying the music of popular song stylist Maradona and guitarist Rocky. Guests then moved to inside and poolside for dinner after which they danced to the tunes of Maradona and guitarist Rocky well into the evening.

Wedding Ceremony on Pink Sand Beach

Multi-Day Wedding Bride

On the day of the wedding, Martine and her bridesmaids got ready in matching tropical-inspired robes. Martine’s team of ‘maids looked gorgeous in an array of mix and match orange, peach and coral gowns with different necklines and patterns. The bride herself stole the show in a strapless A-line gown adorned with floral appliqué by Ines Disanto. Embracing the beauty of the backdrop, Martine’s bridal bouquet was brimming with tropic leaves, as well as pink and orange blooms. Meanwhile, the groom and his ushers spent the morning in the sunshine playing Pickleball before getting ready into natural beige linen suits that perfectly balanced relaxed, cool and classic together. And of course, the wedding party wouldn’t be complete without the couple’s four-legged furry ring bearer, who also donned a light linen waistcoat for the occasion.

Multi-Day Wedding Fireworks

Martine and Cole’s ceremony took place on Dunmore Beach, where an incredible greenery-filled archway stood on the beach against the lapping waves of the water. Following their vows, the newlyweds headed to The Club House for their cocktail hour and reception. Florals by RAH Designs played a huge part in their décor, with long trestle tables dressed in white cloth, orange chargers, cross back chairs and colourful tropical flowers. Lanterns filled the pool, offering a luxurious, elegant and fun aesthetic for the event. A white wedding cake by Sugar Couture tied in with their Bahamian wedding theme, featuring three white tiers and the addition of white orchids, palm leaves and tropical orange flowers. Fireworks courtesy of BahamasFX added an extra dose of ‘wow factor’ to Martine and Cole’s multi-day wedding on Harbour Island, before the after-party took place at Daddy D’s.

To end their spectacular weekend of celebration, Martine and Cole tucked into a farewell brunch at The Dunmore the next day, before guests embarked on their flights back to the US. It was a huge joy to work with Martine & Cole to execute their vibrant, personality-filled wedding weekend in the Bahamas.
