Rescheduled your wedding because of the lockdown or planning a Bahamas 2021 destination wedding? You can still host the best day of your life hitch-free, despite the changes brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. You and your guests can conveniently fly to the Bahamas in three hours or less. Then, tuck away in a private beachfront villa or a wedding resort, and enjoy the next couple of days celebrating the love of your life.

If you’re in the U.S., there are non-stop flights from major cities such as Atlanta, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Charlotte, and more into Georgetown Exuma, North Eleuthera, Staniel Cay. A direct flight to Nassau is available via American Airlines, Delta, and Silver Air. You can also get a flight to Nassau from Toronto, if you’re in Canada. And, if your destination is the Out Islands of the Bahamas, you can catch a connecting flight at Nassau to the Island via commuter airlines or private charter.

COVID-19 Requirements To Travel To The Bahamas

Although a mandatory 14-day quarantine is no longer required to travel to the Bahamas, there are still some health measures in place that you have to meet. These requirements are put in place to prevent the spread of Coronavirus and protect both visitors and citizens of the Bahamas. Moreover, they aren’t complicated nor stressful. So, what are these requirements?

Well, you’ll need an RT/PCR negative test from an accredited lab and a Bahamas Health Travel visa. The test must be taken seven days before entry into the Bahamas, with the day the test was taken being day zero. Besides showing the result at the entry airport, you also have to upload the scanned result during your Health Travel Visa application, which costs $40 and takes about 48hrs to process. Furthermore, if you’d be staying in the Bahamas for more than seven days, you’ll need to take another rapid test on the fifth day of being in the Bahamas. Learn more here.
