Magical Winter Grand Isle Exuma Wedding

Grand Isle Exuma Wedding

Couple: Corey & Justin

A Grand Isle Exuma wedding was a must for Corey and Justin. With Exuma as the location, their eyes were on the stylish 23 North Grand Isle Resort and Spa! We helped the couple realize their dreams of a beautiful event in this tropical paradise.

Corey contacted me via our website. We got to work planning the couple’s celebration weekend. I worked with Corey to arrange all wedding details, including room blocks, at Grand Isle. We also helped with the stationery suite by referring Corey to our favorite graphic artist, Kelly Ashworth Design.

Justin, a businessman, and Corey, a medical sales executive visited Grand Isle in November on a pre-wedding site visit. This Arizona couple fell in love with the resort. Read more in our vendor spotlight on Grand Isle.

Fast forward, the couple’s wedding weekend arrived. Corey, Justin, and guests descended upon Exuma. It was time to party and celebrate. But, the day before the wedding brought high winds. The winds were a significant concern for Corey and Justin. I assured them that even if it were windy, their event would still be beautiful.

Myriad Festivities

Hosted at several events over the weekend, Justin’s parents entertained guests at a festive oceanside White Party. The lovely event took place at 23 North overlooking the stunning Emerald Bay. Just over 100 guests attended this elegant, fun, and very lively affair.

And, on Saturday, Corey and Justin enjoyed brunch with family and friends at Justin’s parents’ penthouse. In addition, everyone had a chance to indulge in a catamaran excursion on Exuma’s crystal clear blue waters.

Corey and Justin’s wedding weekend was windy. We met the day prior to the wedding. The couple’s biggest concern was the wind. I assured them that even if windy conditions continued, their wedding would still be beautiful. The wedding day arrived. Winds persisted. My team and I knew that Plan B of moving dinner indoors 23 North Dining Room was a must. I met with Corey and also spoke with Justin to apprise them of the situation. They were most gracious and calm and accepted the call.

The groom was handsome in his blue suit – perfect for a tropical backdrop!

Grand Isle Exuma Wedding: The Ceremony

A dear friend married Corey and Justin on 23 North Terrace before their 100-plus family and friends early afternoon on a winter day. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres poolside before rain forced everyone indoors for dinner. Plan B was a saving grace. But, the lovely couple still took everything in stride.
