Our favorite looks from NY Bridal Market

We don’t know about you, but we have been anxiously awaiting the royal wedding next month. We can’t wait to see who Meghan Markle chose to design her two wedding gowns.

Given the extreme case of royal wedding fever sweeping the world right now, it’s no surprise that ball gowns were shown in many collections at the recent Bridal Market in New York. While we love the classic, fairytale feel of a ball gown, we were more interested in looks that would translate for the brides we most often work with – laid-back sun goddesses who might marry with their toes in the sand. When we survey the looks coming down the runways, we’re looking for lighter fabrics, in sheer and sexy styles.

This Bridal Market did not disappoint! We pulled 17 of our favorite looks that would work great for our clients – with looks ranging from Boho chic to classicly romantic to fresh and modern. Some of these dresses would also work great as a paired down look for an outdoor reception with the waves crashing in the background.

We’re grateful to report Hurricane Dorian did not directly impact Chic BahamasWeddings HQ. While it’s business as usual around here, we’d like to extend our love and support to our neighboring islands who were so greatly affected by this devastating storm.

Our friends at The Baha Mar Foundation have an easy way to support those in Grand Bahama and The Abacos by providing food, shelter and medicine. Please follow the link in our bio to donate to this worthy cause. 100% of the proceeds donated will go directly to helping those in need.

Thank you!
