Luxury Wedding in The Bahamas: Family Time

Taking place in late February this year, Pascale and Dan were joined by just over thirty family members to exchange their vows in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Each guest was greeted with a thoughtfully crafted wedding welcome bag for this luxury wedding in The Bahamas , featuring straw baskets filled with a hand-painted map of Stocking Island (and important event locations), a card for each guest detailing the QR code for their wedding website, a custom temporary tattoo of the happy couple, a bottle of sun scream, wine and delicious treats. Here at Chic Bahamas, we truly believe that the carefully considered details, such as wedding welcome bags, help come together to design a personalised and memorable experience for the guests of our clients. We sourced a talented local strawwork artist to create the special welcome bags with embroidered bride and groom initials.

Celebrations began before the big day itself, with Pascale, Dan and their family members embarking on an excursion with our famous swimming pigs. The morning kicked-started with a breakfast burrito, before ending with the rehearsal dinner and decadent evening food.

Bride's wedding day

As the official wedding day finally arrived, Pascale and Dan started to get ready with their respective wedding parties, building anticipation by choosing not to host a ‘first look’ before the ceremony. The bride looked effortlessly elegant, wearing an ‘off-the-shoulder’ gown with an all-down hairstyle and natural yet glowing bridal make-up. As Pascale made her way down to the beach for the ceremony, an exquisite floral archway framed her soon-to-be husband who was waiting eagerly. Pillow-soft white flowers and lots of leafy foliage adorned the entire archway, while the gentle sound of waves in the background provided a tranquil soundtrack to their ceremony. Greenery and foliage lined the aisle, alongside a sophisticated white aisle runner. The bride’s bouquet was filled with white roses and Lilly of the Valley – to which the groom’s buttonhole beautifully complemented. As the couple signed the register, Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love With You’ played, before the couple walked out as man and wife to The Beatle’s ‘All You Need Is Love’

Pascale and Dan joined their guests at the beach bar for a cocktail hour, featuring two signature cocktails. Dan had chosen a Brandy Old Fashioned while Pascale selected Aperol Spritz – the guest list sipped on their cocktails to the romantic symphony of Adrian D’Aguilar’s string duet. For their wedding reception, the couple further embraced their white and green colour scheme, adorning long trestle tables with statement raised installations filled with tropical greenery, while smaller white centerpieces were dotted around their place settings. Votive candles added a warm glow as the evening drew in. Bamboo chairs and rattan chargers added texture and interest to their tablescapes, tying in perfectly with the tropical-luxe vibe of their wedding venue.

Let Us Execute Your Dreams

Pascale and Dan’s loved ones watched on as they enjoyed their first dance to Stevie Wonder’s ‘For Once In My Life’ before the bride made a very stylish change into her second wedding dress so she could dance the night away. As the party really got started, the newlyweds and their families continued to make memories by dancing to the DJ, lighting and releasing paper lanterns into the night’s sky and enjoying a bonfire on the beach. Choosing Kahari Resort for their love story backdrop allowed Pascale and Dan to curate lifelong memories in one of the Bahama’s most beautiful settings.

It was an honour to work with the couple to bring their destination wedding in the Bahamas to life. If you’re looking for a team of expert planners on Stocking Island to execute the event of your dreams, we welcome you to get in touch to enquire more about our services.
