Real Weddings Bahamas features a super sweet couple — Sara Elizabeth Worley, Geologist and Kyle Worley, Construction Manager from Katy, Texas. This lovely couple tied the knot at a private late afternoon ceremony at Treasure Beach Estate, Cable Beach, Nassau, April 16, 2016.
Sixty guests from Ohio, New York, Virginia, California, Texas and Pennsylvania travelled to The Bahamas to share the four-day celebration with the bride and groom. Immediate family stayed at the Treasure Beach Estate with all other family and friends staying at the Melia Beach Resort.
“Our favorite memory about the accommodations,” reminisces Sara, “was the fact that all of our immediate family was together at the beach house where wonderful memories were made all weekend long.”
Sara and Kyle have “heard so many compliments from our guests about our wedding. They loved the island, the beach location and raved about all the details of the wedding.”
Real Weddings Bahamas: Lace and Blush Pink
Sara wore a beautiful, romantic lace dress by Essence of Australia complete with blush accessories and sash. Kyle’s attire was a beach perfect off white linen Tommy Bahama suit. Florals and décor where neutrals and blush pink. The overall feel of the wedding décor was rustic beachy.
The bridesmaids wore blush pink dresses while the groomsmen were in whites and neutrals.

A three-tiered vanilla wedding cake with Bavarian cream filling was decorated with simple pink flowers and a bit of raffia at the base of each tier.
Activities/other parties held for the couple’s guests included a kick-off Welcome Reception at the Melia Hotel where the bride and groom and guests gathered on the Esta Vida Terrace. Delicious appetizers and food were served on the open air terrace.
After the wedding events, the bride and groom and guests gathered for a Sunday farewell brunch, again at the Melia Hotel.
Following their intimate and special wedding weekend, the couple headed to Great Exuma for a Honeymoon at Grand Isle Resort. Their favorite Honeymoon Memory? “The Honeymoon at Grand Isle Resort, Great Exuma, was so special and there were so many favorite memories. One that stood out was our last night in the Exumas. We experienced a very unique local dinner at Shirley’s at the Fish Fry. The amazing food and local hospitality was a wonderful way to wrap up our beautiful honeymoon.”
Tell us why you chose to get married in Nassau: “We chose to get married in the Bahamas because we had visited the islands the year prior and just fell in love with the area, the people and the beautiful scenery.”
Sara says she would absolutely recommend a wedding at Treasure Beach Estate. “This a unique way to do a destination wedding for smaller groups. The intimacy of the beach estate is perfect for family as well as for preparing for the wedding. It was also extremely private which is different from a wedding on a resort.”
The best part of Sara and Kyle’s Bahamas wedding on the beach? “There are so many wonderful experiences. Marva Munroe, our wedding planner, was amazing. She was a huge blessing to us because our wedding weekend was executed beautifully.”
