Real Weddings – Carly & Brendan
Real Weddings today feature Carly and Brendan’s beach Bahamas wedding. This handsome couple visited Grand Bahama Island in Fall 2013. They had already decided on a Bahamas wedding but wanted to do a pre-wedding visit to check out everything first hand. We had several meetings during which time, in addition our sessions, Carly and Brendan met service providers, too. This very active Utah couple fell in love with their host hotel, Grand Lucayan Beach and Golf Club Resort and all it had to offer them and their guests.
Following the couple’s visit, we worked together over the next several months to plan all elements of their wedding. These love birds tied the knot at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 24th, 2014 before 85 family and friends on the Manor House Lawn overlooking Breakers Beach and surrounded by beautiful swaying palm trees. The couple’s vision and style for their special day was relaxed, informal and fun. And, indeed their event was all of these and more.
Following the ceremony which was performed by a friend, Mark, and declared by a Bahamian marriage officer, guests were squired to Breakers Beach where they were greeted with the Signature Drink Dark and Stormy, featuring their High West Whiskey (Brendan is lead distiller at the company and Carly is a restaurant manager there). Yum!! was the word from guests upon tasting this really cool beverage.
Immediately following Cocktail Hour with full Open Bar and passed hors d’oeuvres, guests moved to the dinner area where they were joined by the newly weds. A Champagne toast followed as the couple were introduced. Then, it was time for everyone to indulge in a sumptuous buffet spread before dancing under the stars well into the evening.
We share with you today a few of the highlights from this Bahama beach wedding. All images courtesy of Lyndah Wells Photography.
