An Eleuthera Island Bahamas Wedding

Island Bahamas Wedding

Couple: Samantha & Cameron

Imagine planning to get married to the love of your life and all your attempts failing…thrice. Then, finally arriving on Eleuthera for an Island Bahamas wedding, and lousy weather wants to make your big day impossible again. Such was the story of Samantha and Cameron. However, Chic Bahamas took charge and turned things around. Just as planned, on Sunday, April 4, 2021, Cameron and Samantha were announced as Mr. & Mrs. Clubb in a beautiful ceremony in Eleuthera, Bahamas.

Samantha and Cameron’s Bahamas destination wedding was planned as a week-long affair, from Thursday, April 1, 2021, to Wednesday, April 7, 2021. The wedding party and guests arrived in North Eleuthera at different times between Thursday and Friday.  Two chauffeured SUVs vehicles were on standby for the week to pick up the wedding party from the airport to La Bougainvillea, and for whoever wants to go out and about.

On Saturday, the bride had a trial makeup and hairstyling session with Karin and Aline, respectively. A rehearsal beach wedding and dinner were scheduled for the same day, but only the rehearsal dinner was held at 7:00 p.m. in the warm indoor poolside restaurant of the La Bougainvillea Restaurant. Unfortunately, the Island Bahamas wedding beach ceremony rehearsal dinner couldn’t be held due to the windy and cold weather.

Welcome to Samantha and Cameron’s Wedding!

It’s the D-Day – Sunday, April 4. Karin and Aline arrived early to start the makeup and hairstyling session for the bride, bridesmaids, and mothers. But, the wind and cold that had prevailed all week hadn’t ceased as expected. When our lead planner, Marva, visited the bride in her villa, she was sad and in tears. “It’s just too much,” she said, her lovely and upbeat demeanor gone.

So, Marva suggested moving the wedding to the Caribbean side of Eleuthera Island. The previously planned venue was the beach at the host venue, La Bougainvillea, on the Atlantic side of Governor’s Harbour Eleuthera. When the bride said yes, we jumped into action. First, we did a site visit at Ten Bay Beach on the Caribbean side of Eleuthera perfect, calm, and lovely. Then, the Chic Bahamas Weddings team and La Bougainvillea teamed up and got all props moved to the new beach ceremony location.

Everything was set for the Island Bahamas wedding beach ceremony by early evening. Family and guests were ushered into chauffeured driver vehicles, and off we went. The ceremony was beautiful. No wind, sunshine, and just the prettiest setting. Khruangbin – A Calf Born in Winter was played for the entire bridal party processional. Then, Samantha walked down the aisle with her father to the acoustic version of the XO cover by John Mayer.

After Samantha and Cameron said “I do,” everyone was transferred back to La Bougainvillea, where guests enjoyed cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres. The Chic Bahamas Weddings team had set up the dining room for the reception earlier in the day. After cocktails, the bride and groom were announced into the reception to the tune of Leon Bridges – Smooth Sailin as “Mr. and Mrs. Clubb.” Then, the reception dinner commenced, and the dance floor opened with the couple’s first dance.

Post-Wedding Ceremony Excursion Activities

It’s Monday, the morning after Samantha and Cameron officially became Mr. & Mrs. Clubb. We took the wedding party snorkeling at the Spanish Well with an excursion company, the Cay Witness Charters. The next day, the wedding party explored more of the Spanish Wells and visited Pig Island. A birthday dinner was also hosted for guests at The Pointe by Seven Palms. On Wednesday, guests with the bonefishing experience went bonefishing for half the day. On April 9, Cameron and Samantha depart the Bahamas as a happy couple to start the journey forever as Mr. & Mrs. Clubb.
