Our couples are rarely “just” planning a destination wedding – life is often quite busy for our brides and grooms, and without a doubt, this was the case for Emily! During the planning process, she completed her chiropractic studies, moved three times and got married! Whew. All wedding plans were made around the bride’s graduating from Chiropractic school. We guided Emily through finding the right beach location for her Jewish destination wedding in the Bahamas.
Emily started the wedding process two years before her wedding date. After having her heart set on other Bahamas destination wedding venues, Emily and Alex settled on the beautiful Emerald Bay Beach for the ceremony, followed by a fantastic indoor cocktail hour, dinner reception and dancing.
The Exumas are famous for the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, a marine protected area that offers some of the best snorkeling and diving experiences. The Exumas are also known for the famous Swimming Pigs, which are a unique attraction at Big Major Cay. So of course, this three-day affair, would not be complete without couple + guests alike partaking in the Swimming Pigs Excursion!
Jewish Destination Wedding Prep at Grand Isle Resort & Spa
Emily spent her morning with her maids. They were adorned in stunning, floor-length sea blue gowns with various necklines (highly recommend! This choice allows your wedding party to be comfortable, yet cohesive!). The lining of Alex’s suit was one of our favorite attire customizations of the day! With a matching pocket square, he embraced the tropical vibes from head to toe!
Exuma Bahamas Wedding at Emerald Bay Beach
The serene beauty of Emerald Bay was the perfect backdrop for this couple to celebrate their I dos on the beach! Being a Jewish ceremony, the chuppah was a focal point for exchanging vows. A neutral color palette of white, accented with tropical greenery foliage, was elegant and modern, while of course, being a classic choice!
After the Destination Jewish Wedding ceremony, the party was moved indoors to the Grand Isle Resort & Spa’s beautiful event space. We love the vaulted ceilings with dramatic wood beams and the plentiful natural light. It’s a modern, Bahamian space! Embracing the beauty of Exuma with their color palette, a sea of blues were used on the tabletop design (scroll back up to see the watercolor invitations, which set the tone for the destination wedding weekend to come).
Destination Jewish Wedding: Emerald Bay Beach Indoor Reception
After an intimate dinner with their family and friends, it was time to DANCE! Not to be excluded from the festivities, the HORA was a beautiful finish on the dance floor before the sparkler exit. Congrats to the Krols!
